Aberporth is a bustling seaside village with not just one but two sandy beaches! Dolphins are often spotted just off the shore and during the summer, the beaches are packed with locals and tourists for your typical ‘day at the beach’. One of the beaches is dog friendly all year.
You won’t just find people building sandcastles here, it’s a very active community with paddle boarding, kayaking and even a bit of rock jumping going on around you.
The village is a real champion for sustainability. Its 1,100 inhabitants pulled together to launch their very own ‘Plastic-free Aberporth’ initiative and have reduced their consumption to make their village the world’s first plastic-free community.
The village has a fantastic atmosphere during the season with everyone enjoying the food at the BBQ Beach Hut, the fish and chip shop and sipping on drinks at the beachside pub. There are many amenities in the village from a Chinese takeaway to pharmacy so once you’ve arrived, you don’t need to leave!
The Ceredigion Coast Path passes through the village so you can either stop here for a few hours during a walk or you can explore the hidden coves and delights of the coast path from here too!
