Borth is a seaside village resort 7 miles north of Aberystwyth in Ceredigion on the Ceredigion Coast Path. It has a sandy beach, youth hostel and caravan and camping site.
At low tide, an ancient submerged forest is visible along the beach where stumps of oak, pine, birch, willow and hazel can be seen. The forest is associated with the legend of Cantre’r Gwaelod and radiocarbon dating suggests the trees died around 1500BC.
