After being based at a holiday park just outside Penparc, Mannucci's Italian Bistro owners announced this month that the restaurant will be taking over No 1 High Street, Cardigan. The building was formerly home to Andrew Price hairdressers and previously Roland Lloyd.

We're excited to see that work has begun already and fingers crossed, we will be sipping Limoncello and enjoying an Italian feast cooked up by the talented kitchen team before we know it!

At their previous restaurant in Penparc, diners left raving reviews, so we're sure everyone is over the moon to hear they will be reopening in Cardigan. One diner left a Facebook review praising the whole experience. He said:

"Wow! What a fantastic bistro!!!! The welcome was fantastic from the wonderful Karen, Linzi and Ben!!! The food was beautifully cooked and seasoned and good sized portions!!! The service was fabulous and the complimentary shot of homemade Limoncello at the end of the meal was perfection! We are so fortunate to have one of the best Italian restaurants here in West Wales!!! Everyone - Come and eat at the wonderful Mannucci’s!!! We certainly will again!!!"

Others left reviews about the takeaway service they ran during restaurant closures because of the Covid pandemic and we were delighted to see their little Mini bopping about our windy roads delivering delicious Italian food to people! Fingers crossed we'll see the Mini again when the restaurant re-opens.

This will be such an asset to Cardigan High Street, which has seen a number of new businesses and existing businesses expand into retail premises in the last 12 months, despite the pandemic.

Best of luck to Ben, Linzi and the whole team at Mannucci's.
